Universal Input/Output Interface
Some cable runs are difficult, expensive, or downright impossible. The Echoflex Universal Input/Output Interface (UIO) leverages the power of wireless communications to enable you to take information from wired sensors or controls in previously inaccessible locations and wirelessly transmit that data wherever you need it.
Each UIO features two inputs and two outputs, and can operate as a transmitter or receiver. The two wired inputs accept 0-10V or 4-20 mA signals from wired sensors or controllers. The UIO embeds the message and signal format in its wireless communications and relays it to a receiving UIO unit, which automatically places the signal into the correct format in its two analog outputs. This makes the UIO transparent to your building management system; all it sees is the information it needs.
The UIO also accepts wireless inputs, making it easy to integrate wireless devices into existing wired control systems or building energy management systems.
Installation is also easy with the UIO. The UIO interface is a DIN rail-mount device fitting into a variety of enclosures. It can also be mounted onto a 4x4 electrical box.
And if you have a really inaccessible location? The UIO supports an external antenna with flexible mounting scenarios and can also act as a wireless signal repeater, ensuring your signal will find its way.
