Echoflex Solutions expands wireless switch sensing offerings with OWS-BTY

The new OWS-BTY from Echoflex Solutions is a battery-powered version of our popular OWS wall-mount rocker switch, complete with an integrated occupancy/vacancy sensor. The OWS communicates wirelessly with the Echoflex control system and with the new battery option, doesn’t require wires to power the sensor. The OWS-BTY sensors are ideal for installation in small offices and boardrooms requiring on/off switching with occupancy/vacancy sensing.

The OWS-BTY complies with NEC 2017 directives to eliminate manufacturing of electrical control devices that introduce current on the grounding connection, or “no-neutral” devices (NEC sections 404.2 and 404.22). The sensor includes the same features as the original, including a dual tech option that couples acoustic sensing with scanning across the entire PIR detection range. The OWS-BTY’s passive infrared sensor has a 180° angle of detection. Innovative noise filtering is used to prevent false occupancy triggers from the audio sensing circuitry. The sensor includes a walk-test feature, plus PIR and microphone sensitivity adjustment to ensure the sensor is calibrated correctly for each space.
