Retrofit Applications

Retrofits can be expensive and invasive, especially when in your home. Echoflex's wireless control products offer the ability to implement the automation you seek without the burden and expense of re-wiring the home. Controlling your lighting, appliances, plug-in electrical products can all be achieved with master switch control, 3 or 4 way switching even incorporating occupancy detection to turn lights off after you leave.

 
 
Whistler Olympic Village 
 
The Vancouver Olympic's required extra housing for visiting athlete's. Condominium's being built were to be used for this housing by turning the living rooms, dinning rooms, and kitchen areas into bedrooms. They also needed to provide personal lighting control so that each athlete could turn lights on and off but other athlete's couldn't. The initial wireless system had too few addresses and switches in other condo's were turning on and off. The solution was the Echoflex wireless system in which each device has a unique addresses, thus eliminating this problem. 
 
500 wireless switches and relay's were used for the project with the real savings being the cost of returning the spaces to their intended use. The savings by using the wireless switching was approximately $1,000 per unit.
